A case report under review that explores the technique of immediate implant placement and loading in a site with periapical pathology.
This case report documents the successful immediate placement and loading of a dental implant in the extraction socket of a maxillary tooth with periapical lesion. Traditionally, such cases were treated with a delayed approach. However, this report demonstrates that with proper case selection, surgical technique, and prosthetic management, immediate protocols can be successfully implemented even in the presence of periapical pathology. The report includes a detailed account of the surgical procedure, prosthetic rehabilitation, and 1-year follow-up data.
